New Student Induction; First Pin Is Start of Something Special

On Friday morning, family and friends of Ursuline Academy’s High School Division’s newest students joined together for the New Student Induction. During this ceremony, students who are in their first year at Ursuline Academy are presented a lapel pin to wear on their school blazers. During the remainder of her time on State St, a student collects additional pins in exchange for participating in activities, completion of service hours, and additional worthy causes.

Here is a sample of students receiving their first pin from High School Division Principal Mr. John Gabriel. Mr. Gabriel was able to present his own daughter with her first pin. During the ceremony, our Dean of Students Mrs. Karen Mortillaro handed a pin to Mr. Gabriel who then presented to the pin to Mrs. Mortillaro’s niece.
