On Wednesday, prior to their departure for a much needed five-day break, the students of Ursuline Academy’s High School Division joined together in the National Shrine of Our Lady to celebrate a mass and to honor teh holiest of holy days: Easter. As Holy Week continues, students are reminded of the gift of life that was given to them by God and Jesus Christ’s ultimate triumph over sin. During this week, students are asked to remember all that is good in the world, to reflect on how they can improve their lives to coincide with the teachings of Jesus Christ, and to be thankful for all that has been given to them.
Summary of today’s mass:
- First Reading: Isaiah 50:4-9a
- Responsorial Psalm: Lord, in your great love, answer me.
- Gospel: Matthew 26:14-25
