Scholarship Opportunities
Regardless of race, creed, national or ethnic origin, Ursuline Academy, New Orleans is able to provide scholarships to deserving students who demonstrate exemplary levels of academic performance, leadership and service, as well as to those who qualify for financial assistance.
Ursuline awards three types of scholarships annually: Alumnae Scholarships, Merit Scholarships, and Financial Need-Based Scholarships. The number of awards in each category varies each year according to the funds available and the number of qualified students who apply. Scholarships are available only to incoming 8th and new 9th grade students. In keeping with the mission of foundress Saint Angela, only one scholarship will be granted to each recipient thereby enabling the greatest possible number of qualified students to receive awards.
Alumnae Scholarships are intended to recognize academic excellence and a dedication to the Ursuline ideal of Serviam through service to school, community and/or church. These renewable and non-renewable scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants regardless of financial need or alumnae affiliation. Merit Scholarships are intended to recognize exemplary academic performance. These scholarships are partial, non-renewable awards the value of which will depend upon available funds and the number of qualified applicants. Financial Need Based Scholarships are awarded to students with commendable academic performance who would not have the opportunity to attend Ursuline Academy due to financial constraints.
