Benoit '13 Continues to Launch Local Softballs Into Orbit

Ursuline Academy Athletics continues to have a successful spring season. Sophomore Kailyn Benoit ‘13 recently took sole possession of the Single Season Homerun Record for Ursuline Softball. During the past week, Benoit ‘13 hit two additional homeruns expanding her record-setting performance to seven (7) homeruns. With a lot of softball left to play, the sophomore has the double-digit mark in site.

Seventh grader Katie Jones and Sixth grader Alex Thomas had an awesome summer of softball.Katie was the pitcher and Alex the catcher of the 11/12 Carrollton Booster Allstar team that won the PONY regional tournament in Crowley Louisiana as well as other local tournaments. The regional victory qualified the team for the PONY National Tournament in Harlingen Texas which was played July 27 thru August 2.The team won the National Championship beating teams from Louisiana,Texas and California  bringing home the championship banner.
