The Ursuline Academy high school volleyball team will play Mandeville High on Thursday, August 30 at 4:30 p.m. at home. Come out and support the Lions!

Children’s Hospital will have free LHSAA Physicals as part of their Healthy Athlete Day on Saturday, May 7.

Any student planning on participating in UA Athletics at the high school level, must have a current (within the last 365 days) physical on file in the Athletic Director’s office before going out for any team.  Students without a current physical are not eligible to participate in any way.

Benoit '13 Continues to Launch Local Softballs Into Orbit

Ursuline Academy Athletics continues to have a successful spring season. Sophomore Kailyn Benoit ‘13 recently took sole possession of the Single Season Homerun Record for Ursuline Softball. During the past week, Benoit ‘13 hit two additional homeruns expanding her record-setting performance to seven (7) homeruns. With a lot of softball left to play, the sophomore has the double-digit mark in site.

Ursuline Academy Volleyball Camp

Facilitated by Ursuline’s volleyball coaching staff, lead by Head Volleyball Coach and Louisiana’s Division III 2010 Volleyball Coach of the Year, Jay Jay Juan, as well as current and former players. Volleyball Camp offers quality instruction for all players, with a goal of stimulating a love for the game in young athletes by showing them how to succeed while laying the foundation for their development with strong fundamental skills through drills and reinforcement.

Session 1: May 30 – June 3  |  Session 2: June 6 – 10
9 a.m. – Noon for girls ages 10 – 14
Cost is $85 per session plus non-refundable $20 registration ($25 after May 9)

Ursuline Academy Basketball Camp

Ursuline Basketball Camp is designed to introduce girls to the technical aspects of basketball. The program includes training on defensive and offensive techniques and an introduction to tactics of the game. Emphasis will be placed on fundamentals such as ball handling, passing, shooting form, defensive footwork and of course, having fun! Current members of our high school varsity program will serve as camp counselors. Camp fee includes t-shirt and daily snack.

Session 1: July 18-22

Ursuline Academy Softball Camp

Ursuline’s Softball Camp will focus on the fundamentals of softball including all aspects of hitting, defensive skills and pitching. Camp will focus on the development and improvement of a player’s skills and self confidence as a softball player.  The program’s goal is to stimulate a love for the game in young athletes by showing them how to succeed, while laying the foundation for their development.
