Volleyball
Summer camp is all about having fun and making the most of opportunities to improve individual skills and team play. Ursuline Volleyball Camps are successful because its coaches blend excitement with opportunity! UA Volleyball Camps are directed by the Ursuline Volleyball Coaching Staff, lead by Head Coach, Jay Jay Juan. Coach Juan and his staff bring a level of expertise that will help each athlete develop at her own level.
Participation in the camps develops higher self-confidence in a positive learning environment and reinforces players’ feelings that they are doing all that they can to improve their game. We look forward to sharing our challenging and fun camp experience with you.

Basketball
Facilitated by Ursuline’s basketball coaching staff and led by Head Basketball Coach Andrea Williams, Ursuline Basketball Camp is designed to introduce girls to the technical aspects of basketball. The program includes training on defensive and offensive techniques and an introduction to tactics of the game. Emphasis will be placed on fundamentals such as ball handling, passing, shooting form, defensive footwork, and, of course, having fun! Current members of the high school varsity program serve as camp counselors.

Softball
The program goal is to stimulate a love of the game in young athletes by showing them how to succeed while laying the foundation for their development. The Ursuline Softball Camp will focus on the fundamentals of softball including all aspects of hitting, defensive skills, and pitching. The camp seeks to develop and improve each player’s skills and self confidence as a softball player.

On Monday, May 10, 2012 Cassidy Eymard and Irianne Nicholas signed athletic scholarships to play basketball in college.
Cassidy Eymard signed a scholarship to play at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Irianne Nicholas signed an athletic scholarship to play basketball at Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas. Congratulations and good luck!
The basketball team had a very successful 2011-2012 season. 
The Lions finish District 10-4 Runner-ups and made it to Regional Round of the Louisiana State Playoffs.
Many players on the Ursuline Basketball won many awards this season. Congratulations to Jenna Deemer for making the 2012 All-Metro Team, the 2012 All-State Team, District 10-4A Player of the Year, District 10-4 A All District Team, 2012 Clarion Herald’s 2012 Elite Girls Basketball Team. Jenna was the only sophomore to be selected to the 2012 All-State Team.
Congratulation to senior point guard Irie Nicholas for being selected to the 10-4 A All District Team and the 2012 Orleans Parish All Star Team.

Congratulations to Sami Adams for finishing second place in the Louisiana High School Basketball Coaches Association Three Point Contest.
The Ursuline varsity basketball team Alexandria High School in Alexandria on Monday night by a score of 53-44. UA girls basketball will play Salmen Thursday, February 23, at 6:00 in the Ursuline Gym! Please come and support our team as they play in the regional round of the LHSAA State Playoffs!
On Thursday night, Ursuline honored three senior basketball players and two managers as part of Senior Night. Starr Swilling and Devin Felder were honored for their contributions as student managers. Cassidy Eymard, Maya Scott, and Irianne Nicholas, all senior starters, came forward with their parents to be recognized for the passion with which they have played during their years at Ursuline. Following the ceremony, Ursuline went on to defeat East Jefferson 51-24. The Lions play Warren Easton (away) on Monday.
The UA basketball game this Friday will be varsity only beginning at 6:00.
Ursuline Academy defeated McMain High School 58-19. Jenna Deemer led all scores with 20 points. Cassidy Eymard was the team’s second leading scorer with twelve points, and third leading scorer was Maya Scott with eleven points. Other scorers for the Lions included Sami Adams with five points,Kris Hugel and Bailey-Ray Jackson with four points each, and Irianne Nicholas with two points. Ursuline Academy plays in the Vandebilt Catholic Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The Lions are now 5-3.
