In 1727, 12 young women of God set sail for the strange and relatively unknown colony of Louisiana in the New World. They risked their lives, traveling to and living in this wilderness, for the young colonial girls who had no other real hope of advancement. Today, more and more people are coming to the realization Ursuline Academy, a jewel in our city, a jewel in our country, has never stopped fostering that bravery, that integrity, that commitment to service. The time is now, the time must be now to fully embrace, honor and, finally, provide the support for the advancement of this preeminent institution. The opportunities for distinction are limitless and with your help, Ursuline Academy is going to shine as never before.
